(or--Great Gifts for the Well-Dressed Man !)
The Holidays are will soon be here and it will be time to shop for the man in your life. If his wardrobe looks like he is unemployed or under-employed----he needs your help! The sweetest and more subtle ways to do this are to give him GIFTS....for the Holidays.....to get his wardrobe back in fighting shape. Remember-he should dress for the job he wants ---not the job he has!
1. His own Tux! Always ready..clean...fit for him. Nothing says class like a man with his own great looking tuxedo! Rentals look like rentals. Some men wouldn't splurge on one for themselves....it could be a wonderful gift from you.
2. Ditto for a nice tux shirt...interesting tux accessories of high quality....cumberbunds, bow ties (the ones TO TIE --not pre-tied---are the best !!).
3. MONOGRAMED Stud Sets and Cuff links.....or Blazer Buttons are a Wonderful gift!! Not only are these great lifetime gifts but they making him looking like a million bucks. There is something so incredibly personal to receive a gift with your monogram on it. It suddenly makes it very special.
4. Suits and Blazers! It is TIME to replenish a good basic wardrobe! If the man in your life does not have a good Navy or Black Blazer..for heavens sake--start there. Order the monogrammed blazer buttons to go on it! If he needs a good suit...he needs a great solid in grays, blacks or navys.Pattern suits in nailhead, stripes or glen plaids.
5. Shoes. If he has been neglecting his dress clothing...his shoe wardrobe wasn't far behind. He needs some new dress shoes....with a leather sole..high-quality...Black, Cordovan or British Tan ....he should have all of these. (He also needs his own Tuxedo shoes to go with his new Tux !)
6. Dress Pants.....this is a great area to give him variety...to pair with a nice sweater or that nice blazer with the monogrammed buttons! Grey, navy, black, tan, olive....patterns.....dress corduroy.....and even the nicer dress khaki pants.
7. Dress Shirts and Neckties !
8. Timeless Tartans and Plaids in Shirts and Robes. Great with jeans or cords.....and even mixed with Dress pants and Cashmere sweaters.
9. Fun Boxer Shorts. Maybe he has been wearing only white. Well.....how about Tartans....Stripes....Gingham checks.....or a fun assortment of colorful ones ---all in high quality shirting fabrics. There is a big difference in quality boxer shorts.
10. Nice Closet organizers in Cedar. Shoe Trees (truly will make his shoes last longer)....belt racks....tie racks...hangers...sweater and shoe boxes....all in Fragrant Cedar. Will make his closet smell fabulous. A wonderful quality Valet in Mahogany to hang his suit on is a spectacular gift under the tree !
This is the fun part of dressing well !! Nothing shows a little personality like a wonderful assortment in your closet of great, high-quality men's dress shirts (different colors, stripes, white collar) and high-quality men's neckties. All truly well dressed men also have pocket squares and over-the-calf socks.
Here's the key....a great selection of very high-quality timeless items....all organized well in his closet. This makes getting dressed easy and fun !
The compliments from everyone (especially you !) on how well he looks will follow.
